Fantastic Experience with the Weight Loss Team.

I had my gastric sleeve surgery with this amazing team, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From start to finish, everyone was absolutely fantastic — friendly, professional, and attentive. Every question I had was answered thoroughly, and I felt completely supported throughout the process.

I only stayed in the hospital overnight and was able to continue my vacation the very next day with no ill effects — the only thing I missed was swimming in the pool! I’ve had zero pain since leaving the hospital and haven’t needed any pain medication at all. No gas pains, no stomach discomfort, and I’ve had great energy from day one. I can walk and sleep easily and feel amazing.

For reference, my start weight was 195 lbs, surgery weight 182 lbs, and just 7 days post-op I’m already down to 175 lbs. I’m a 5'4" female and could not be more thrilled with my results and how smooth my recovery has been.

I had an excellent experience with The Weightloss Team in Puerto Vallarta. We were greeted by Eric at the airport and transported to our hotel. Eric also picked us up at the hotel and transported us to-and-from the hospital. We met with Gerald at the hotel to go over expectations and discuss how to be successful using surgery as a tool, a lifestyle change. Dr. Ochoa Del Toro did our preop exam and was quite pleasant. Dr. Parra and Dr. Paredes met with us prior to surgery to explain how things are expected to go, great bedside manner! I highly recommend this group to anyone.

Best decision I've made. If you've been waiting to lose the weight for good and feel so much better, dont wait any longer!!The entire weight loss team and Dr. Parra were so helpful, professional, and caring. While the first few days were difficult, they made it virtually pain free and I'm only 1 week out and already have dropped 13.4 lbs. My goal is 90 total. But better than just the weight loss so far, I have energy that I've not felt in years. Also I was up and moving around hours after the surgery and feel fantastic. Just do it, you won't regret it. Gerald is a fantastic team member who walks you through the process and they have everything taken care of that you need. I'm recommending to all my friends and family who struggle to lose and keep the weight off. In 6 months, I'll post before and after pics so you can see my amazing transformation happen!

I'm about 10 days out from sleeve surgery with Dr. Parra and Weight Loss Team. I'm feeling great! I really appreciate how organized they are - it was so nice to not have to worry about any logistics. I was terrified about having surgery for the first time ever and especially WLS. Gerald was very informative and always answered all my questions. The hospital and surgical team were very supportive, friendly and kind. I am from the US and I can honestly say this was the best treatment and service I have every received. The facility was not only clean, it is beautiful too! Their is a nice veranda to get your walking in after surgery . The nurses and all hospital staff were courteous, caring and well organized. I was very impressed. Dr Jovanny knew how nervous I was while taking me back for surgery and kept rubbing my pinky to console me. Such a sweet gesture and great bedside manner from all! Great professionals! No complications after surgery at all...In a couple of days I felt back to my normal self and my new stomach did not give me any trouble whatsoever since day one. No acid reflux or nausea...no pain, no problems swallowing or holding food down (this was my biggest worry before surgery seeing some horror stories online).

In PVR they made the perfect pouch for me! I am 12days post-op. Besides following my diet, eating small portions (I can't fit no more in there😁), and a few tiny scars on my tummy, noone around me would never guess that I just went through such a big surgery!
So far I am a living proof of how good Dr. Parra and his team are!

My 2 boys daughter husband daughter in law and my grandson all made the trip from the US to Puerto Vallarta. We rented an Airbnb. Not only is the area breathtakingly beautiful, from start to end the experience and professionalism of the entire experience was flawless. We were picked up at the airport by Erik who is bubbly and knowledgeable taken to our home away from home. Gerald was in touch from the get go, we were transported to the hospital, always ahead of schedule. The staff, nurses and physicians were amazing! Dr Parra spoke to us and put us all at ease. His bedside manner is second to none. The staff was awesome they were there quickly anytime I had to call for them. As far as the procedure, it’s surgery to say it was painless would be crazy, I’d say more like uncomfortable. But they all made sure I was well taken care of. I highly recommend CMQ Dr Parra and his staff. I am excited to see where this new body will take me from here on out.

The team and hospital staff were amazing, and knowledgeable. The hospital was cleaner then some of the hospitals in Canada. 4 days after surgery and 2 of my sutures are healed not leaking any liquid and the others are not far behind. The support has been fantastic!

Dr. Parra, Gerald, and the rest of the Weight Loss Team did a fantastic job from start to finish. Based on my overall experience, I would definitely recommend their team for VSG and any of the surgeries they perform. They even diagnosed and fixed a hernia that would have had dire consequences. Dr. Parra was exactly all the things you need during A GSL revision surgery. He is super involved with your personal health information knowing your medical history and his confident, calm communication style puts your mind at ease. I had almost no pain at all and needed very little pain management post op. After the surgery I received a mini video clip of the actual surgery and Dr. Parra explained the surgical process including the correction to a prior GSL surgery not done through Gerald Whitt Weightloss Team. Dr. Parra explained the fix to my previous pouch and the new revision procedure which was very comforting that I know how much weigh loss success I can expect with following the post op diet. I would only refer Dr. Parra from the Weightloss Team after having experienced an unsuccessful GSL first at another bariatric clinic.
