It gives low BMI patients an opportunity to lose the weight they need to lose up to 30% of their excess weight while not having incisions.
If your BMI is less than 35 this may be a surgery option for you but you should seek advice from an expert as the sleeve is usually a better option.
The patient may feel full sooner while eating and therefore eat less.
This surgery is not right for everyone and you should discuss all options with the surgery team.
Patient leaves the hospital on the same day as the procedure.

Note the Balloon needs to be removed after about 6 months for a fee and once removed weight regain may occur.
